Getting my sewing groove on!

Even though Christmas is in 2 months I always like to start shopping early! Every year our family does a drawing and my kids drew my older sisters kids. She has 6 yr. old Gracie, 2 yr. old Crew and baby #3 is a girl coming during Thanksgiving. I took ideas from pinterest and made them all matchy clothes!

 I didn't have a before picture but I just used a plain white shirt I got at target.

 I sewed a pocket over the old navy logo shirt so Crew could be matching the girls.

These are all of them basically finished. I still want to put a bow on gracies shirt and I got the girls cute matching headbows!

Dresses

I made Lexi and Lauri matching dresses!

I can't wait to see them in it!

The Dress I altered

Congradulations go out to Alexis and Mark Halle who tied the not yesterday!!! Kyle and I are so excited to have Mark as a brother-in-law!!!
On I different note. You might remember me talking a lot about the dress I altered to be modest for Alexis, well the time has finally come where I can show you the pictures and steps on what I did to make the dress Temple ready.

*I took off the train

*hemmed it because she is very short

*made straps to keep the dress up

*made a jacket with the left over lace from the train I took off to go over the strapless gown

*took the back and sides in to make it lay nicer because I took off the train and it layed funny after that

*we bought a beautiful broach to tie the whole dress together

This is the dress but she has it in White. After I took off the train and hemmed the dress

flower headbands

Casey showing off the 2 new flower headbands out of the many I made for baby Lexi! Doesn't he look so adorable! ;) I think Kyle is looking forward to the day Lexi will be here so then I will stop showing people my girly projects on Casey. We're both really excited and I'm getting so anxious to have her here!

Newest Project

So last night I watched my sister and mom start to crochet and decided it looked fun. So I set out to make baby booties and it actually turned out okay. They seem a little small so I'll be making some more. They're really easy to make and it only took me 3 hours to make these cute booties!

Baby Blessing Dress!

After a week of working on Lexi's blessing dress I finally finished it! Yay! We're excited for her to come in 4 months!
