The Black Forest- Germany

We took a little short family vacation to the black forest in southern Germany. We stayed at this cute

German hotel right by an old castle. The kids had so much fun. The older kids rode on a hand controlled slide, saw a couple of castles, and they each blew a glass vase.

Rheinstein Castle

Its been crazy since we've arrived to Germany! We took a the train for the first time to church and the kids loved it but didn't like the walking part as much. We've learned some things here in our first 2 weeks. 1st, public bathrooms in the train station cost 50 cents. 2nd, once you buy an ice cream cone you must not sit down and eat it. That costs extra. 3rd, I've learned how to use Euro's! I also passed my driving test! Wahoo! I can officially drive in Germany but i'm pretty scared to do that. 

Monday we visited a castle for our first time! The kids absolutely loved it! So many stairs! We hiked a little bit up a hill to get to the castle. The view was gorgeous! It was the Rheinstein Castle along the Rhein River. I love seeing all the cute villages and houses on our way there. 

I love how there are castles EVERYWHERE!!
