Christmas

Today we made gingerbread cookies and gingerbread houses. It was so much fun! I love this time of season. We sure are missing Kyle and we're trying to keep busy so the time will fly by faster. Out of all the cookie cutters that Casey could choose from he chose a flag cookie cutter. After we baked the gingerbread cookies, Casey picked up his flag cookie and said "Daddy loves the flag. Daddy in Afghanistan shooting bad guys so we have flag." I've been telling Casey things here and there of why his daddy isn't here. Casey wonders why he can't call Daddy anytime of the day or why Daddy isn't here and I've been trying to explain to him where Kyle is and why he's gone. I thought it was really sweet that he was thinking of his Daddy and made him a flag cookie.Lexi couldn't wait too long after she made a house to eat it.
